The Old Town Triangle is recognized by both the city and the federal government as a landmark district, and its community organizations work hard to preserve the historic character of its residential streets. Joe Zekas and Coldwell Banker agent Lino Darchun circled through the triangle during their afternoon-long tour of Lincoln Park a couple weeks ago — click “play” to see what they have to say about the cottages and rowhomes they pass along the way.

So a private charity group known as the Old Town Triangle Association “controls” the development of all this property owned by others? How could that be?
pk,
“Controls” is an inexact usage. The OTTA is very influential, but doesn’t “control.” Its Web site has a statement that’s more exact.
Oh, I see. The old political party masquerading as charity for fund raising purposes. When there’s no ethics at the grass roots, maybe Blagojevich and the U of I trustees and Daley’s patronage boys should be cut some slack.
