Yesterday’s email brought this Elmhurst market update from Coldwell Banker’s Gracik Makinney Group:
May property sales were up 39.2% over the same time last year, from 51 in May 2012 to 71 homes sold this year. May year-to-date sales are up 34.8% at 252 vs 187 for last year.
The May year-to-date average sales price was down 4.4%, from $449,223 to $429,371. The May 2013 vs May 2012 median price decreased 0.8%, from $384,000 to $381,000.
As of June 20, 2013 there were 218 active listings in the MLS, representing a 3.1-month supply of inventory.
