Enjoy a little Danish at Arbors at Barrington condos

Arbors at BarringtonSomething might be rotten in Denmark, but it’s a place that knows how to make a fine lantern. At least Fred Schurecht thought so. He used Danish lanterns (pictured) as well as stone statues, gargoyles, arched entryways and other quirky touches in constructing the Arbors at Barrington. Now, Barrington West Properties, LLC is converting the complex into 110 condos, townhouses and lofts. The new developers are making the most of the unusual elements at the Arbors, but that means that when they want to replace a lantern they have to get it from Denmark. Luckily, seems like no one’s going to notice if one of the statues loses a hunk of arm or leg.

Arbors at BarringtonThe complex, located at 590 W Russell St, has 12 buildings with 58 condos, 36 townhouses and 16 lofts. Units have one to three bedrooms, one to 2.5 baths, parking spaces and prices from the low $200s to the high $400s.
