“EnV achieved LEED certification for use of recycled and low VOC materials during construction, energy efficient heating and cooling systems, high efficiency lighting, comprehensive recycling programs, a no-smoking policy, proximity to public transportation, and the incorporation of green landscaping and several green roof spaces, in addition to a variety of other sustainable strategies,” according to a media release.
Trib architecture critic Blair Kamin says the basic LEED certification is “a pretty modest achievement…But it is nevertheless welcome, and in pointed contrast to Frank Gehry’s 8 Spruce Street apartment tower in New York, which is not seeking LEED certification.”
Apartments.com says EnV’s studios, which have 470 to 632 square feet, run from $1,724 to $1,993 a month. One-bedroom / one-baths with 771 to 1,008 square feet are $2,058 to $3,308, and two-bedroom / two-baths with 1,145 to 1,207 square feet are $3,058 to $3,903.
