Evanston will or won’t clamp down on off-campus housing

Like most cities, Evanston has an ordinance that limits the number of unrelated individuals who can occupy a dwelling unit to three.

In a campus environment, there are substantial economic incentives on the part of students and landlords to ignore those limits. The Tribune is reporting today on what may or may not be stepped-up efforts on Evanston’s part to enforce the limits in its ordinance.
