Fidelity National Title speaks four new languages

Fidelity National Title Insurance Company today launched four new Web sites in Chinese, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese, says spokesperson Mary Placido. The sites provide homebuyers with information on real estate, escrow and title insurance.

Fidelity follows on the heels of Chicago Title Insurance Company, one of its subsidiaries, which started Chinese, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese sites at the end of May 2006, Placido adds.
A statement from Fidelity says the company began offering the sites to reach underserved markets. According to the statement: “Statistics gathered by Fannie Mae, the nation’s largest buyer of mortgages, show that minorities — many of whom are immigrants — will account for nearly two-thirds of household growth from 2000 to 2010. However the current homeownership rate of minorities and immigrants lags non-minority and native-born residents by approximately 25 percent.”

Maybe those village trustees in Carpentersville who want to make English the official language should take note.
