It’s not just older home buyers who want master suites on the first floor, according to Concord Homes, a subsidiary of Lennar Corp. Two of the four available floor plans at Concord Village, a new Concord development in Lake Zurich, have master suites on the first floor. Avoiding the trudge downstairs when that leftover pork chop or a Jerry Springer rerun starts to sound good about 3 a.m. remains a big motivation. Many buyers, including younger ones, want to be closer to the rooms they use most, according to Leigh Nevers, of Concord. But distance from the other bedrooms, especially for families with older children, has its appeal too, Nevers says.
Concord Village, located at Old Rand Road and Route 22, has 43 homes with three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and two-car garages, priced from the $410s.
