First quarter figures: Medians and highs in Bucktown

The closest closing price in the first quarter of 2011 was about half that amount, for a single-family (pictured) a few blocks east at Hermitage and Bloomingdale.

  • High: 2035 W Charleston St Unit #303, a two-bedroom / two-bath loft with 2,000 square feet. Listed in January for $474,900; closed in March for $449,000.

Single-family homes:

  • Median: 1639 N Honore St, a four-bedroom / 3.5-bath home. Listed in July for $749,999; closed in February for $730,000.
  • High: 1757 N Hermitage Ave, a four-bedroom / 2.5-bath home. Listed in October for $1.55 million; closed in January for $1.46 million.

Multi-family buildings:

  • Median: 2160 N Bell Ave, a three-flat with coach house. Listed in November for $650,000; closed in March for $650,000.
  • High: 2074 N Leavitt St, a 6,336 square-foot building with ground-level commercial space. Closed in March for $877,500.
