In a word or short sentence, describe the mood of the market.
Cautious, but good.
What’s the most common question you hear from buyers?
“How much can I expect to get off the listing price?”
What’s your best piece of advice for sellers?
Keep an open mind and be willing to counter and work with any offer that comes in.
Give me your best “There’s never been a better time to buy!” pitch.
Well, assuming that you have cash, there never has been a better time to buy. There are low rates, there are a lot of people who really need to sell, and assuming you have enough cash and are qualified to get a loan, it is absolutely the best time to buy. You will never see another time like this.
What’s the wildest, weirdest, or worst marketing ploy you’ve come across lately?
I have to say, I haven’t seen anything bad lately. I think everyone’s doing a really good job. I’m seeing a lot of good e-mail blasts where people have an enticing tagline that’ll actually get you to look at their messages. You get hundreds of e-mails a day in real estate, and occasionally someone will say something really creative to get theirs to stand out. I keep waiting for a subject line like, “Hot naked man at open house tonight!” but I haven’t seen that one yet.
