We checked in yesterday on five of the new apartment projects planned or underway in the West Loop.
The site of a new 15-story, 198-unit project at 601 W Jackson, above, has been fenced and has construction equipment and general contractor signage on-site. The project has secured financing and is apparently awaiting the issuance of building permits.
Gateway to the Loop, a 167-unit, 17-story building with 95 parking spaces, has begun soliciting contractor bids for the $50 million project at 11 S Green.
Catalyst is topped out and the building’s skeletal website is announcing pre-leasing beginning this month and occupancy in June at the 19-story, 223-unit tower.
Construction at the 350-unit Arkadia, 765 W Adams, has progressed beyond the parking podium. Expect the building to rise rapidly to its 33-story height.
Fifield Cos is targeting an April groundbreaking for 44 new units at Mod.
