Senco Properties has defaulted on almost $7 million in loans for the 94-unit EcoLogic Lofts in Bucktown, leaving the turbine-topped plan blowing in the wind. Man, if the promise of hot co-ed shower action can’t help your sales, nothing can.
Let’s revisit some of our favorite moments from the EcoLogic Lofts sales center, shall we?
It doesn’t help that it’s by that pain-in-the-ass intersection of Damen, Fullerton, and Elston. Unless you are a fan of Popeye’s chicken or Vienna (both of which I do like), I would say the location is less than ideal. I’m no real estate prude. Just an average joe, but I’m just saying.
There is a plan in place to re-route elston around that intersection to ease congestion and spur some growth there. Its a long time coming. There are pretty much daily car wrecks there. Keeps getting pushed back though. Suprised the city isn’t more behind this. Cleaning up that intersection and putting a cool building like this seemed pretty progressive, but i guess we’re Chicago, so it doesn’t fit the mold.
