We’ve seen how developers and brokers are rolling out the incentives to attract buyers in a slowing market, but the folks at Seattle Real Estate Professionals pointed us to a uniquely Texan carrot that a real estate agent in suburban Houston is dangling in front of potential buyers: a Glock.
There’s a catch, of course. You have to be a cop to get the gun. The Houston Chronicle reported on the agent, an associate with Realty Associates in Pearland, Texas, who is offering the pistols to police officers who spend more than $150,000 on a home. She has an ad running in a publication called Badge & Gun– not to mention an untold amount of free exposure on real estate blogs– and has already given away two guns.
Guns in Texas seems natural– any ideas on Chicago-centric giveaways for local homebuyers? A snow blower? A lifetime of free pierogis?
