The YoChicago staff uploaded its first videos to YouTube on November 2, 2006. One, shown above, was a simple walk past the Vic Theatre on what appears to be a cold, gray day. Two others were shot inside a $1.29 million single-family home in Wilmette. (The first is embedded at bottom.)
We’re currently closing in on 2,000 videos online on our various channels – yochicago1, newhomenotebook, winnetkanow, northfieldbuzz, shopthenorthshore, headforthelakes, and yonorthshore.
We’ve averaged well over a video a day since we began, and currently have far more genuine real estate video online than any other local source. Since October 2007, when YouTube started collecting data on user trends, people have viewed our content well over a million times. Not surprisingly, five of our 10 most viewed videos feature Donald and Ivanka Trump or their tower.
