Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House nominated as World Heritage site

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House in Hyde Park is one of a number of Wright buildings nominated for inclusion on the United Nations World Heritage List.

The list of nominated Wright properties includes Fallingwater, his most celebrated work. I’ve always been fascinated by Fallingwater, in part because I had the privilege of visiting its grounds as a child, in part because its name so perfectly expresses the experience that many Wright homeowners have had with their home’s roof.

You can join me for a look at the Robie House’s living room in the above video, and see much more of the Robie House in this playlist at YouTube.
