There’s a good reason why the gut-rehab at 1125 W Farwell Ave is named Farwell at the Lake: The only things that stand between it and Lake Michigan are some tennis courts and a narrow stretch of Loyola Park.
It was hard to get a glimpse of the lake while I was inside the building on Wednesday, so before leaving to see the Lyndale Condominiums in Logan Square, I trudged out into the snow-covered park to check out the shore. Despite the inclement weather, there were a few people out with their dogs, and one guy (who didn’t make it into my video) who asked how to get to the other side of the lake. (I hope he made it.)
