From the field: "A thousand bucks is a thousand bucks"

Between agents, the water-cooler talk is kind of dead. Showings seem to be dwindling, which isn’t a good sign going into June and July. Most of my buyers are investors at this point — people who want to buy and rent out or sit on property.

I see more of us working with rentals, just because you do whatever you can to get through this. In the day, you didn’t want to do them because they were kind of a pain, but face it: a thousand bucks is a thousand bucks. Not to sound depressing, but I haven’t made a closing this year. I’ve found solace in the short-term rental market — that’s what gets me by.
