My son Jordan recently completed the tedious task of transferring more than 50,000 of our archive photos from CDs to a hard drive to make them more readily accessible. We’ll dip into that source periodically to show you more of Chicago’s striking faces, spaces and places.
YoChicago gets around. Within the past year alone we’ve shot video and photos in more than 50 Chicago neighborhoods, and in more than three dozen of Chicago’s far-flung suburbs. Check our our video page and our neighborhood pages for some of the results.
The above photo was shot somewhere in Hyde Park by Joeff Davis, who left us a few years back to become the Photo Editor at Creative Loafing in Atlanta. In 2009 Joeff was named Atlanta’s top photojournalist by the Atlanta Press Club, and in 2010 he was named the top Alternative News Photographer in the nation by the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies.
