If you’re interested in owning a Highland Park home designed by noted modernist Edward Dart you can pay $229,000 or $2,575,000.
The low end of homes recently added to the Dart board is a 2-bedroom, 1-bath ranch built in 1954 on a quarter-acre lot at 434 Sumac Rd. According to the listing, the home still has its original appliances and “needs to be totally gutted or torn down.”
Dart had achieved a number of honors by the time the second home, at 803 Sheridan Rd, was built in 1961 – and apparently attracted a more affluent client.
The Sheridan Rd home, which came on the market 3 days ago, is on a wooded ¾ acre ravine site in East Highland Park. It spans 6,254 square feet encompassing 3 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths and a 4-car garage. According to the listing, it has been totally updated and boasts “walls of glass and soaring ceilings.”
Coldwell Banker’s Iris Garmisa has the latter listing.
