Despite appearances, The Greenmoore is not open for business yet. Most of the work on the six-story building at 6955 N Greenview Ave in Rogers Park is finished, but the elevators aren’t in operation yet, says Camelot Realty agent Rich Aronson. Without elevators, it’s pretty difficult to get furniture to the upper floors. So instead of hauling everything up the stairs, Aronson says he plans to wait a couple of weeks before staging a furnished model.
The 12-unit building is all concrete construction, Aronson says, which keeps the homes very quiet. The upper floors have lake views, according to Aronson, and all of the homes have two or more balconies.
Two of the 12 homes have been sold before, but Aronson says the building is 25 percent sold because the retail space has been leased to DevCorp North, a Rogers Park community development group.
Seven of the remaining homes are single-floor two-bedroom / two-baths, but there are also three three- and four-bedroom duplex units on the top two floors. Aronson says those duplexes have generated the most interest so far, because of their size and views. First closings are scheduled for April 18, but Aronson says that most of the available homes can be ready for delivery within 30 days.

Has anyone asked Mr. Aronson about the 2-bedroom CPAN unit that is to be sold this building? How much is that unit going for?
Has the units been divided up yet with PIN #’s, to let the potential buyers know how much in street tax (SSA #24) they’ll be paying to DevCorp?
And… what is DevCorp North paying in rent? After all, more than 3/4 of their income comes from the taxpayers. The taxpayers ought to know.
Oh, wow, Craig going off on DevCorp? They must be a big advertiser in Gay Chicago then (or he has an interest in the bldg)!
