Work has finally begun on Lakeshore East‘s long-awaited grocery store, according to Magellan Development. A Roundy’s Supermarket will occupy about half of a 105,000 square-foot LEED Silver-certified retail center southwest of Lakeshore East’s park. III Forks Steakhouse and an unnamed breakfast restaurant have also signed leases in the building.
Construction will wrap in about a year.
