Christmas is our hook for being mindful of all of the holidays that Chicagoans celebrate at this time of year. We wish you, before and after the fact, happy holidays.
It’s a tradition for many people to venture out into different parts of Chicagoland to look at holiday decorations.
We suggest a visit to the 3300 block of Flournoy, in a part of East Garfield Park that the residents consider North Lawndale. You’ll see a demonstration of lights and community that’s continued for decades.
Someday soon we all will be together,
If the fates allow.
Until then, we’ll have to muddle through somehow.
