I stumbled upon this well-known sight as I was trudging through River North the other day. The combination of this heralder and the smell of chocolate wafting over the river from Blommer made me feel as though I was in heaven. But no, I was at One River Place, 578 N Larrabee St (or 619 W Chicago Ave, depending on your preference), which is, as most of you are probably aware but I wasn’t, the conversion of the old Montgomery Ward building into lofts. The structure appears to be undergoing a renovation. The building features nearly 200 one- to three-bedroom lofts and a little river walk and rooftop deck.
