Howard Street separates suburban Evanston from Chicago for a long stretch, which is part of why resurrecting it has been a real challenge. Planning is often tough when each side of a street belongs to a different municipality.

  • That retail transit center is the Gateway Center, right?

    I’m definitely not a fan of how that thing was developed. Another example of the city prioritizing the car to the detriment of the pedestrian. Luckily we’ve learned that you can actually plan for both
