Have you been to Wildwood?

It wouldn’t surprise me if more Chicagoans have been to Wildwood, New Jersey than to the micro-nabe with the same name on Chicago’s northwest side.

Wildwood is a small neighborhood in Forest Glen, which is one of Chicago’s 77 official Community Areas.

If you visit Wildwood, you’re likely to be impressed by the calm and overwhelmed by the greenery, which is dense enough to darken most streets at noon on a sunny day. The largely post-war housing stock is varied and almost uniformly pleasing to the eye.
