In late December 2010, Joe Askins met up with home inspector Tom Corbett from Tomacor, Inc., to look at some examples of shoddy construction and home repair on Chicago’s North Side. Tom stopped briefly to discuss some of the trends he noticed in 2010, and some things that buyers will need to keep in mind in 2011, especially if they’re considering purchasing distressed properties.
