Renters looking in River North can choose from 12 different apartment buildings, the newest of which — EnV, Parc Huron, and Flair Tower — opened last year. These developments have promoted condo-style features like granite kitchens, hardwood floors, private outdoor spaces, and big amenity packages that may not always be found in the city’s older rental high-rises.
But when it comes to apartment sizes, rents, services, and location, how much does a place like Flair Tower differ from a 30-year-old building like Asbury Plaza? This afternoon I pulled together some info on both buildings and threw them into a spreadsheet to see where the similarities and differences lie.
(Note: Flair Tower also offers some larger one- and two-bedrooms, as well as some three-bedrooms, on its penthouse levels. For the sake of comparison, the spreadsheet only includes sizes and prices for Flair’s “regular” one-bedroom, one-plus-den, and two-bedroom units.)
