Every week, it seems, brings several announcements for new downtown Chicago apartment developments.
Chicago Real Estate Daily reported earlier this week that a Seattle-based developer is buying a 1.8 acre site at 1001 W Chicago Ave with hopes of building 300 or more new apartments.
The River West site is adjacent to a CVS pharmacy and a few short minutes’ walk from a CTA Blue Line stop.
We shot these aerial views last September. In the second photo our chopper was almost directly above the 1001 site. It’s unlikely that a new tower would reach the height our helicopter was at, but you’ll still have an approximation of the views from the site.
You can see 100s more of YoChicago’s aerial photographs at Flickr, and follow the progress of all the new downtown apartment projects on our at-a-glance list.
