If Frank Gehry and Jeanne Gang co-designed Kingsbury Plaza

Kingsbury Plaza, 520 N Kingsbury, occupies a striking position on the river, at the western edge of River North. It’s one of the first structures to command your attention as you exit the Kennedy Expressway on Ohio St.

The 47-story modernist tower, distinguished by its rounded shape and soaring concrete verticals, is the work of Solomon Cordwell Buenz.

Reflected in the windows of Pepper Construction‘s Orleans Street headquarters, Kingsbury Plaza appears as a blend of the undulating shapes of Jeanne Gang‘s Aqua and Frank Gehry‘s deconstructivist randomness.
