A slice of Logan Square in Grand Boulevard

The Logan Square, 4913 - 4929 S King Dr, Grand Boulevard

Don’t let the name fool you: This eight-unit condo development that’s being marketed as “The Logan Square” is actually located at 4913 – 4929 S King Dr, in Grand Boulevard. According to Coldwell Banker agent Paulette Edwards, her partner in sales, Sybil Martin, was in charge of assigning a name for the development, and she chose to name it after her godchild Logan, and not, as it might seem, after the Northwest Side neighborhood.

Developers Mark Boldun and Art Gurevich have divided their project into three eight-unit phases. Construction on the first phase just wrapped up, and all eight homes are still for sale.

The two ground-floor units are being sold as affordable housing. Those homes each have two bedrooms and two baths, and they’re both priced in the $180s. The rest of the homes have three bedrooms and two baths, and are priced from the $270s to the $290s.

Edwards joins the chorus of developers and real estate agents hoping the city will land the 2016 Summer Games, but even without the Olympics, she says there’s plenty to recommend the neighborhood. The development is just two blocks from the northern edge of Washington Park, and the nearest Green Line station isn’t much farther.

Two models — one affordable home and one market-rate home — are furnished, and Edwards says a buyer could move into either of those homes immediately. The other six homes can be ready for delivery in 30 to 45 days.
