There was more to The Park Monroe, 55 E Monroe St, than just a pretty view. I shot my pictures of Millennium Park and the Loop’s skyline from a 2,549 square-foot two-bedroom located on the northeast corner of the tower’s 42nd floor.
This particular unit is one of the few in its tier not to have a balcony (something you can see in the upper right-hand corner of the floor plan below), but it makes up for that with two separate living / dining areas — a main space measuring 25-4″ x 25-8″, and a smaller “family room” adjoining the kitchen — and floor-to-ceiling windows running the length of its northern and eastern walls.
Both bedrooms are laid out in a suite fashion with their own full baths and walk-in closets. A half-bath and utility room are tucked away in a corner near the condo’s entrance.
Three of these 01 tier units and another three identical homes on the building’s southeast corner are still for sale, according to The Park Monroe’s latest price sheet. Prices range from $1.6 to $1.7 million.
