This development at 947 N Ashland Ave in Noble Square has been on the Yo radar for a while, but this is the first we’ve posted about it. When I spoke with Michael Downing from Jameson Realty Group a couple months ago, he told me that he had sold one unit in the building but was having difficulty generating interest in the current market.
North Clybourn Group then took over sales for the three remaining units, and in an apparent re-branding effort they’ve named the development “The 900 Club,” according the the banner in the above photo.
Although it sounds fairly innocuous, I don’t think that’s the type of name I’d want to attach to my condo development. The top-ranked page that I get when I plug “The 900 Club” into Google is a sickening Web site that offers “a list of every known individual who has staked a claim to a weight of 900 pounds or more, in descending order of magnitude,” complete with photos and mini-bios. It’s a pretty exclusive club.
I found two available condos listed on the North Clybourn Group Web site. The first is a three-bedroom / two-bath duplex that’s located on the top floor. That unit is priced in the $550s, and the listing says it comes with a private roof deck. The other is a two-bedroom / two-bath unit listed in the $470s.
