Forbes has published a fascinating interactive map, based on 2008 data from the Internal Revenue Service, that shows the number and per-capita income of people migrating to and from different counties in the US.
In 2008, 1,886 people with an average income of $37,400 moved from Los Angeles County to Cook County, while 2,455 Cook County residents with an average income of $39,400 moved to LA County.
Sixty-seven people with an average income of $36,000 moved here from Santa Barbara County, and 74 people with an average income of $123,400 moved from Cook County to Santa Barbara County.
