Calling it that would be selling it short, according to Koenig & Strey‘s Sally Mabadi, who deems it the most beautiful home on Chicago’s North Shore.
The gracious 5-bedroom, 4 ½ bath at 581 Ingleside Park is on a serene acre adjacent to a park, and boasts 180 feet of Lake Michigan frontage accessed via a gently rolling lawn. Its North Evanston location is close to Lighthouse Park, the Evanston Art Center and much of the best of Evanston.
When I first toured this home last year it was priced at $5,250,000. It’s now at $4,400,000.
I revisited the home yesterday during a well-attended broker’s open house – several dozen agents came and went during the time I was there. It was unusual to see city agents touring a suburban home. Don’t let the pictures mislead you into thinking the food was neglected. Real estate brokers are always ravenous, and the trays were continually replenished.
Sally Mabadi is joined by Caitlyn Terrell, Koenig & Strey’s Director of Luxury and Development, in this brief video explanation of why this is Evanston’s most beautiful home.
