Crain’s Chicago Business is reporting (behind its paywall) that the Wisconsin Department of Justice is investigating whether Laurance Freed was involved in an alleged forgery of his sister’s name on a loan guarantee.

Freed is the CEO of Joseph Freed and Associates, the former developer of Block 37.
