If the tales we’ve been hearing lately are true – and one should always be skeptical – iMove is teetering on the brink of extinction.

A number of agents have recently left the company. The company is reported to be slow-paying agents and ducking bill collectors. It continues to engage in wholesale illegal advertising of properties without the written authorization Illinois law requires.

Any renter who writes a check or gives a card authorization to a firm experiencing financial difficulties risks losing their money. Be careful out there.
