Is your real estate agent a convicted felon?

Perhaps.

You can look up your agent’s license status at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, which also publishes a periodic report of disciplinary actions (PDF), from which we glean the following.

Miguel Sedano — April 7, 2006 — Chicago — The application for a salesperson license was granted, subject to Probation for a period of 3 years, for having been convicted of a felony.”

Brian Kerns — March 6, 2006 — Chicago — The real estate salesperson license was suspended for 120 days, followed by Probation for a period to run concurrent to the completion of Respondent’s criminal sentence, for having pleaded guilty to a felony.”
