The model unit at 565 Quincy, a combination high-rise and loft conversion by Belgravia Group in the West Loop, features a huge plaster pillar dominating the kitchen. It’s not part of the design – as evidenced by this helpful sign – but the pillar’s presence is nonetheless an entertaining teaser of the loft homes that await buyers at 565 Quincy.

I’ll post more photos and video from the model unit later this week.

  • Perhaps it should be modified to say “Unless you want to keep me.” Some arty types who live in lofts actually dig those pillars and see them as an opportunity to let loose with their creative instincts. (I remember seeing one of these in a loft downtown; it had a painted “vine” crawling all around it!)
