Reside on Green Street is a 227-unit apartment tower at 504 & 505 N Green St in the Fulton River District neighborhood. The complex, originally known as Kenect, recently changed ownership and its name.

The complex includes a 4-story low-rise rental building situated on the corner of Milwaukee and Grand as well as a 14-story rental tower on Green St behind the low-rise. The development has 14,000 square feet of commercial space between the two buildings. Starbucks occupies the corner of Milwaukee and Grand.

Akara Partners and CA Residential were the developers, Tishman Construction was the general contractor and Pappageorge Haymes Partners was the architecture firm.

First occupancies began in spring 2016.

Reside on Green Street has a mix of studio, convertible, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 2-bath and 3-bedroom, 3-bath apartments. Near real-time rent and availability info and floor plans are accessible online.

Units feature 9-foot ceilings, in-unit washer / dryers and roller window shades. Fourth-floor units have 12-foot ceilings. Some of the apartments have balconies or private terraces.

On-site parking accommodates 122 cars and bicycle storage for 50 bicycles.

The location

Reside on Green Street is located in the Fulton River District neighborhood at the six-corner intersection of Halsted St (800 W), Grand Ave (500 N) and Milwaukee Ave.

The location affords residents quick access to River North, River West and the West Loop.

Shopping. Grocery shopping near Reside on Green Street is relatively convenient.

A flagship Jewel-Osco is three blocks southeast at the corner of Desplaines St and Kinzie St. A CVS Pharmacy is on Chicago Ave, a half-mile northwest.

Retail shopping is very limited near the building. Clybourn Corridor and Michigan Avenue shops can be reached fairly quickly by buses along Halsted St and Grand Ave, respectively.

Dining, nightlife. There’s a good selection of highly-rated restaurants with a distinctive character near Reside on Green Street.


Within a block of Reside on Green Street there’s a fun cluster of bars and restaurants including Iguana, The Dawson, Emmit’s, Richard’s Bar, La Scarola and Piccolo Sogno.


The Matchbox, a less than 10-minute walk from Reside on Green Street on Milwaukee Ave, speculates that it might be “the smallest tavern in Chicago.” The adjacent Silver Palm diner is open seasonally in an original railroad dining car. DeLux, a few blocks northwest, serves up “chef driven upscale bar food” for lunch, dinner and weekend brunches.

The thriving dining and nightlife venues in River North and the West Loop are a short bike, cab, Uber or bus ride from Reside on Green Street.

Parks, recreation. Reside on Green Street has limited access to public parks and outdoor recreation opportunities.

Eckhardt Park, the nearest public park of any size with recreational facilities, is almost a mile northwest of Reside on Green Street.

Transportation. Reside on Green Street has outstanding access to public transportation.

The Grand Ave Blue Line station and CTA bus routes along Halsted, Grand and Milwaukee are just outside the building.

The Blue Line provides direct access to the Loop, O’Hare Airport and west-suburban Oak Park and Forest Park.

Reside on Green Street has quick access onto I-90/94 for north and westbound travelers, but less convenient access south and eastbound. Expressway access to Reside on Green Street from the south is inconvenient.

Bike lanes along Halsted St, Milwaukee Ave and Grand Ave provide quick access to River North, the Loop, Wicker Park, Bucktown and Lincoln Park.

Zipcar rentals are available at a number of nearby locations.
