Kennedy Estates: Will transit options sell homes?

Yesterday Yo toured Kennedy Estates, a modern, 6-story European-inspired condo project in Jefferson Park. The site offers a unique mix of transit options: Metra and the Blue Line are a few blocks away, and the development sits in the fork between I-90 and I-94.

Barbara Buchel, the sales agent with Jameson Realty Group, says the two-bedroom, two-bathroom units will appeal to buyers who spend equal time working in the city and the suburbs. An array of amenities, including private terraces for each unit, round out the luxury homes. But the price points – $330,000 up to $430,000 – seem a bit off-base for Jefferson Park. Sixteen of the project’s 22 units are available, and deliveries are underway right now.

Yo wrote about this development back in 2006, and the prices sounded steep even then. We invite you to let us know – does Kennedy Estates have the right mix of location amenities to command top dollar?
