All homes feature 9-foot ceiling heights (10 feet on the main RowHome levels); hardwood floors in the main living areas; kitchens with 42-inch custom cabinetry, granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances, and double-bowl sinks; master baths with marble vanity tops and designer cabinetry; washer / dryer hookups; and garage parking.
Lake Park Crescent’s models and sales center, located at 4060 S Oakenwald Ave, will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, for the convenience of buyers who want to tour a home before or after visiting the art fair.
The two-day Lake Meadows Art Fair coincides with this year’s Juneteenth, the oldest annual celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. The fair itself is a “rebirth” of an event founded by Margaret Burroughs of the DuSable Museum of African-American History in the 1950s, as a way of sharing the works of African-American artists with wider audiences.
The fair will held at the Lake Meadows Shopping Center, located at 35th Street and Dr Martin Luther King Jr Drive, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 19 and 20. Admission and parking are free.
