These are a few of the photos that I took when I visited the construction site for Magellan Development‘s Aqua at Lakeshore East last month. The photo at right gives an idea of what the texture of the building will ultimately look like. At the time that this photo was taken, I believe that construction had reached about 30 stories.
If you can’t tell from the photos below, that deck is enormous. One of my tour guides, Loewenberg Architects project manager Todd Wendell, told me that the third-floor deck will be home to approximately 70,000 square feet of outdoor amenities (although the Aqua Web site says 80,000 square feet), including two swimming pools, hot tubs and a winter garden.
