Co-developer and sales agent New West Realty has announced that sales have reached the 75 percent mark at Lakeside Tower, a 19-story luxury condominium building underway in the South Loop’s Central Station community.
“Sales have been phenomenal. We’ve sold more than 100 residences since sales began in September,” said Ted Mazola, president of New West Realty and partners with Central Station Corp. in 1600 Lakeside, LLC, the developer.
Great views from Lakeside Tower’s lakefront perch and a unique site plan have been major factors behind the brisk sales, according to architect Ray Hartshorne, a principal in Hartshorne & Plunkard. The site sits at a 45-degree angle, facing northeast on the corner of 16th and Indiana.
“Despite the sales success, we still have a wide choice of floor plans and prices available,” Mazola said.
Prices range from the $240s to the $440s for condos with one to two-plus bedrooms, one or two baths and 763 to 1,183 square feet.
The development features floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies or terraces granite countertops, stainless appliances, hardwood floors in main living areas, and pre-wiring for telephone, cable and high-speed Internet.
A sales center for Lakeside Tower, www.LakesideTower.com, is open at 1218 S. Indiana.
