Planned Property , one of our sponsors, has 3 buildings with renovated apartments east of Broadway on Melrose, in Lakeview East. The buildings are steps from the shopping, dining and nightlife of Broadway and Belmont, close to transportation and the lake — close to everything. If you know the area, you’ll appreciate the fact that parking is available in the buildings.

Planned’s Dan McDonough is our tour guide for a look at the neighborhood and a walk through a model apartment in the video.

All of the buildings are 4+1s. You can watch McDonough’s positive spin on the 4+1 in the following video:

Planned is still running its t-shirt design contest, but entries close on September 15. First prize is $1,000.

  • “You got Wrigley Field, what, four blocks north of us.”

Addison is four blocks north of Melrose? Bull****!! Try SEVEN!

  • Brendan,

Bull? No, just a rough approximation, and a valid one.

If you were to go by the standard 4 blocks to a half mile in Chicago, Melrose is less than 4 blocks south of Addison.

Many Chicagoans are familiar with the 8 blocks = 1 mile rule of thumb. Using that rule of thumb, rather than the arbitrary way that blocks fall in different parts of Chicago, I call BS on your approach.
