I’ll always think of The Pierre, 2100 N Lincoln Park West, as the best Chicago building done by a bad developer.
When The Pierre was converted in the mid-70s it languished on the market, despite its prime location and the quality of the renovation. Buyers at the developer’s previous projects, including 20 E Cedar St, had filed lawsuits over unkept promises, and the firm’s reputation kept many buyers away from The Pierre.
There’s currently only one unit for sale at The Pierre, and it’s been on the market for nearly 8 months. The 1,300 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bath with updated kitchen and baths and an in-unit washer-dryer, is priced at $349,000.
The Pierre has an unusually extensive amenities package for a vintage building, including an outdoor rooftop pool.
Two 2-bedrooms are listed for rent, one at $2,150 a month, one at $2,650.
