LISC/Chicago’s “Back to the Future” panel: A future without the 2016 Olympics

Although Chicago lost in its bid for the 2016 Olympic Games, the city should continue to implement improvements to its communities as if it were planning for the event, says Alderman and Cook County Board President nominee Toni Preckwinkle. In her opening remarks at LISC/Chicago’s “Back to the Future” panel prior to the 16th annual Chicago Neighborhood Development Awards, Preckwinkle explained where the city’s focus should be over the next six to 10 years in terms of economic and neighborhood development.
