I don’t know how Redfin’s “popular new listings” list works (what Redfin considers “new,” whether they’re tracking individual listing views or something more, etc. — are you out there, Sasha?), but apparently a lot of buyers are interested in this two-bedroom / two-bath duplex at the China Club Lofts, 616 W Fulton St in the Fulton River District. It’s a short sale priced at $380,000, parking included, newly reduced from a May list price of $400,000.
Unit 710 is a timber loft with 1,340 square feet, 22-foot ceiling heights, hardwood floors, a 22′ x 10′ deck, an island kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, a skylight, a fireplace, in-unit laundry, a 10′ x 10′ storage locker, and a bathroom that apparently was designed by Prince himself. Back in 1997, when the building was being marketed, the unit was priced in the $210s; it last sold in 2004 for $362,500.
The listing agent, Chris McComas of @properties, is all up in the China Club Lofts — he bought a unit for himself back in 2004, he’s called dibs on the ChinaClubLofts.com URL, and he’s been a part of nine of the 16 transactions that have taken place there in the past three years, according to Redfin’s records.
