I visited the rooftop sundeck at Chestnut Tower last Friday, and it proved to be a good vantage point for looking down on two new apartment high-rises that are in early stages of construction on the Near North Side and slated for occupancy next year.
When it’s completed the 35-story Eight O Five, above, will house 295 apartments and ground-level retail space. The building is on the corner of northwest corner of Chestnut and LaSalle, immediately south of Chestnut Tower.
845 North State, pictured above, will also top out at 35 stories and will include 367 apartments, 185 parking spaces, and ground-level retail.
