Meet Aleisha, a 1345 Wabash buyer

Aleisha is a freelance writer who currently rents in the South Loop. When looking for her new home, her priorities were equal parts a convenient location and a live / work space where she would love to spend her time. At 1345 Wabash, she found both and much more. Here’s what Aleisha had to say about her recent purchase.

Why did you choose to purchase at 1345 Wabash?
I knew that now was a great time to buy, especially in the South Loop. The neighborhood is growing so much and condo prices are only going to increase. So, one day, when I was walking past 1345 Wabash, I saw the construction zone (the building was just a couple floors high at the time!), and thought, “wow, this is a great location!” I immediately pulled up the 1345 website, checked out floor plans, and scheduled a meeting to get more information. I honestly didn’t even look anywhere else. I knew 1345 Wabash was where I wanted to be.

What do you like about the South Loop?
As far as I’m concerned, the ideal neighborhood comes down to two things: city living and the lake. In the South Loop, you get both. I can easily go for a run along the lake, get some peace away from it all, and still enjoy awesome views of the city. Meanwhile, pretty much every place I love in the city is never more than 30 minutes away by DIVVY or the train. My favorite restaurant, Acadia, is just down the street.

What were the deciding factors for you in buying at 1345 Wabash?
For me, purchasing a unit in a new construction building was huge. Buying here means that not only is everything new, it’s customized to my exact tastes and needs. I was able to select flooring, cabinets, appliances, etc., that were in line with both my design preferences and budget. Until I met with the 1345 Wabash consultants, I truly never thought such a luxurious city space was in my future.

One-bedroom condos at 1345 Wabash start at $228,900 and two-bedrooms at $290,900. 1345 Wabash is targeting first occupancy early in the spring of 2015. The sales and design center is at 1620 S Michigan Ave.
