Mmmm, Mozart

The Sherwood Symphony concludes its 2005-2006 season on Friday, May 5 with a mostly Mozart concert at 7:30 p.m. at St. James Cathedral, 65 E. Huron (312-427-6267, ext. 100).

Cliff Colnot will conduct W.A. Mozart’s overture to “The Marriage of Figaro” — and me, I didn’t even know he was dating. Also on the bill is Antonio Salieri’s Symphonia Giorno Onomastico conducted by Sherwood Symphony Music Director Peter Kostov; and Mozart’s Concerto for Flute and Harp, conducted by Associate Conductor Eric Garcia.

The concert is free and open to the public — even to you people who start to itch when you walk into a church. Donations are accepted, of course.
