Mondial to launch furnished model next week, closings to begin in April

Rendering of Mondial, 900 W Huron St, River West, ChicagoWhen I attended the grand opening at The Clarovista last week, I bumped into Jameson agent Brant Booker, who reminded me that Mondial, CITTA Development’s 15-story development at 900 W Huron St in River West, is pretty close to delivering its first condos. Booker seemed pretty excited about the project as he described the glass-backed elevators, and he said they were trying to lure an independent coffee shop to the building’s commercial space.

This morning, Booker had a some more details about when potential buyers can have a look at the model units. “We can show people in the building right now,” he says. Furnished models are set to open in the middle of next week, and he says he plans to hold an open house the following weekend.

A grand opening, similar to the one at The Clarovista, is slated for the third week in February. First closings are scheduled to begin on April 1.

As far as pricing and availability are concerned, Booker says the vast majority of the one- to three-bedroom homes in the 142-unit development are priced from $230s to the $600s, which is slightly lower than the range we previously quoted. A couple of four-bedroom homes are priced at about $1 million, Booker says.
